I am often asked how long I have been in the land survey business.
Although I have made my living in surveying for over 35 years,
I actually started when I was 7 years old.  My father, Charles Douglas Irvine, was both a Registered Civil Engineer and a Professional Land Surveyor,
and it was my great privilege to learn and work at my father’s side.  He taught me surveying the old-fashioned way, using a slide rule and drafting by hand. He also taught me the importance of integrity- to always do my best work.

These lessons have set a standard of excellence on which I have built my career, and are the cornerstones for I/WS Surveying.
